When Amazon needed a scalable, user-friendly way for developers to explore Alexa voice development without needing physical hardware, they turned to iQuarius Media to engineer the solution.

We designed and built EchoSim.io, a browser-based virtual Amazon Echo device. This online simulator allowed developers to test, prototype, and interact with Alexa voice apps (skills) directly through their computer—removing the hardware barrier and accelerating development across the globe. EchoSim.io became the go-to tool for developers entering the Alexa ecosystem and was widely adopted as a key resource in Amazon’s official developer documentation.

To support the platform, iQuarius Media created an integrated developer onboarding and education flow. We built interactive, step-by-step online tutorials that guided new developers through coding their first Alexa skills, submitting them for certification, and tracking their progress from idea to deployment. The system included real-time feedback, milestone-based progression, and embedded documentation to streamline the learning curve.

But building the tool was only half the mission—we also led global developer outreach campaigns designed to drive adoption at scale. These initiatives included:

• Targeted email campaigns

• Strategic ad placements

• Social engagement initiatives

• Integration with Amazon’s global education initiatives and partner programs

The goal was clear: get more developers registered, engaged, and building for Alexa. And the results delivered:
